Here is a list of phone contacts for family and domestic violence support services in metropolitan and regional Victoria. Other statewide, specialist and various useful services are listed below. If you need an interpreter, first call the Telephone Interpreter Service (24 hours) on phone 131 450. They will connect you with the service you want.

COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES

Community Legal Services can offer you free legal advice, while community health centres can provide support, information, referral, counselling and support groups. Many of these are Western Metropolitan region services.

Ring Centrelink on 136 150 and ask for an appointment with a social worker. Ask about your eligibility for crisis payment, a one-off non-refundable payment for clients who have left and cannot return to their home because of family violence.
