Your organisation can prevent violence against women

Women's Health West offers training for organisations on prevention of violence against women.

'Prevention of violence against women is a critical issue for organisations in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne. The numbers of adult female victims of violence as a percentage of the Victorian population is higher in the western region than in any other metropolitan region, as are the numbers of children affected. We also know that violence against women is notoriously underreported, so these statistics probably represent the tip of the iceberg.

Women's Health West have developed training materials on prevention of violence against women for organisations. This training covers a range of elements including determinants of violence against women, identifying population groups, health promotion actions and settings for action that organisations can work in.

Training can be tailored to the needs of your organisation and can be run over several sessions. Cost is negotiable.
